What’s the Deal With the Water Vapor Cigarette?

The water vapor cigarette is getting more and more popular.  As more people discover the water based cigarette, they are curious if it is a strong alternative to tobacco cigarettes.  The first time I saw the water vapor cigarette was on television and a celebrity was smoking one.  I thought it was just some kind of trendy crap, but once I did more research I decided to give it a try.  I’m really glad I made that decision because the water vapor cigarette to me is better than a tobacco cigarette.  In this informative post, I’m going to tell you everything you need to know about the best electronic cigarette, and I’ll also give you some information on my favorite brands.

How Does the Water Vapor Cigarette Work?

The water vapor cigarette works by having a atomizer (or heating unit) heat up the liquid nicotine solution in the cartridge and producing a vapor.  This vapor is very similar to actual smoke, but it doesn’t have a nasty smell.  The nicotine solution is available in many flavors and my preferred brand Green Smoke has a wide variety of flavors including full flavor, medium flavor, menthol, chocolate, vanilla, coffee, and several others.  I smoke the full flavor which is equivalent to a Marlboro Red or other full flavor cigarette.  To be honest, with you I think the water vapor cigarette tastes better than the real thing.

There are different types of e-cigarettes.  The first type is the one piece disposable water vapor cigarette.  It has a different cartridge, atomizer, and battery pack in each cigarette, and you simply throw them away when you are done with them.  These are an excellent option if you are just looking to try to water vapor cigarette, but they are very costly is you are going to use them regularly.  If you decide you like the e-cigarette, then you should go with a two or three piece model.  These come with multiple cartridges, atomizers, and batteries which you can replace.  You will save a lot of money using either one of these models.

Is The Water Vapor Cigarette Safe?

There has been much discussion on whether or not the water vapor cigarette is safe.  I’ve read many water vapor cigarette reviews that claim that the electronic cigarette is completely safe and there is nothing to worry about.  However, this has not been proven.  There have been multiple contradicting studies when it comes to the e-cigarette.  Several studies have concluded that while the water vapor cigarette does have the presence of tobacco-specific nitrosamines, they do not have as much as a tobacco cigarette.  The American Association of Public Health Physicians has come out in public support of the water vapor cigarette because they feel that while they may not be 100% risk free, they are much better for your health than a tobacco cigarette.

What About Nicotine?

The actual drug nicotine is not terrible for you.  It is a stimulant similar to caffeine.  The problem with smoking tobacco is not the nicotine it is the tar and chemicals that affect your lungs.  Consuming nicotine is about the same as consuming caffeine.  Therefore, it is reasonable to conclude that consuming nicotine from e-cigarettes is about as bad for you as drinking a cup of coffee.  The water vapor cigarette comes in a variety of nicotine levels.  Green Smoke has several different levels of nicotine cartridges.

I have tried almost all of the major brands of the water vapor cigarette.  Similar to tobacco cigarettes, there are some good brands out there and there are some really poor brands.  Factoring in quality, price, and customer service there are two brands that I think are the best.

My personal brand, and by far my favorite is Green Smoke.  They have a wide variety of flavors and nicotine levels, and they taste better than tobacco cigarettes.  Each kit comes with 2-3 batteries, a portable charger, and 5 cartridges.  Each cartridge is equal to about 5 packs of regular cigarettes, so with one kit you are getting about 25 packs of cigarettes.  For many smokers this is enough to last them a month.  They have some of the best prices as well.  With the prices of tobacco cigarettes rising on a regular basis, to me the water vapor cigarette is a no-brainer.

Water Vapor Cigarette | Are They Really Safe?

There has been great debate on whether or not the water vapor cigarette is safe.  One thing is for sure they are much safer than tobacco, but are they completely safe?  In may 2009 the FDA tested two different brands of e-cigarettes and they found that while there were some presence of tobacco-specific nitrosamines they were much less than in traditional cigarettes.  The actual drug nicotine is a stimulant similar to caffeine.  So therefore nicotine is about as bad as a cup of coffee.  The American Association of Public Health Physicians publicly supports the use of the water vapor cigarette.  The logical conclusion is that while the water vapor cigarette may not be 100% safe, it is MUCH safer than smoking tobacco cigarettes which are proven to be deadly.

The best thing about the water vapor cigarettes is that they are available in so many flavors.  Not only can you get the e-cigarettes in full flavor, light flavor, and menthol.  There are also some great flavors such as cherry, apple, vanilla, and even chocolate.  You can also get water vapor cigars which are flavored similar to classic cigars.

So How Does The Water Vapor Cigarette Work?

The water based cigarette consists of 3 main parts:

• Cartridge
• Atomizer
• Battery Unit

The cartridge is where the liquid solution and nicotine is stored.  The atomizer heats it up creating a nicotine water vapor that is incredibly similar to real smoke.  The best part though is that it doesn’t smell at all so you can smoke your water vapor cigarette in public and not feel guilty.

Water Vapor Cigarette   |  One, Two, or Three Piece

The water vapor cigarette is available in many different models.  As you’ll see in my water vapor cigarette reviews, if you’re just interested in trying the e-cigarette then I recommend trying a one piece model.  These are disposables that you use until they are empty, and then you can throw them away.  If you decide you like the water vapor cigarette then you may want to move up to the two piece model.

With the two piece water vapor cigarette each one comes with a fresh atomizer.  You don’t need to worry about changing the atomizer, but only the cartridge.  These are a better value than the one piece disposables, but the best bang for your buck is the three piece water vapor cigarette.

The three piece cigarette consists of a cartridge, battery, and cartridge.  While you may have to replace the atomizer after a while, the cartridges are up to 50% cheaper with the three piece model.  If you decide you like the water vapor cigarette, I highly suggest using the three piece model because you will save a lot of money in the long run.

I have tried many different brands of the water vapor cigarette.  The two brands that I like the most are
